Pitching Your Book - with Caitlyn Paxson

from $25.00

You might think about pitching your book as a very specific, one-time step in the publishing process. But the fact is that having a strong pitch can help you during almost every phase of the journey, from writing and editing to querying and selling, to marketing and promoting! In this workshop, author and book critic Caitlyn Paxson will guide you through the process of how to create a great pitch through hands-on practice and shed light on how that pitch can help you find success with your writing.

About the author & facilitator, Caitlyn Paxson:
Caitlyn Paxson has a degree in creative writing and cultural history and has worked as the artistic director of storytelling performances, a harpist, a book reviewer, a 19th century jack of all trades, a shepherdess, and a fake Victorian spirit medium. Her debut novel, A Widow's Charm is forthcoming from Doubleday Canada in 2026.

Event details:

  • Saturday, April 5th, 4:00-6:00pm

  • Beaconsfield Carriagehouse (2 Kent St, Charlottetown, PE C1A 1M6)
