Join us for a VERY special edition of our monthly Open Mic on Thursday, June 26th at The Gallery Coffee House & Bistro featuring the grand finale of our 2025 Battle Tales friendly short story contest!
Each and every month we host a welcoming evening for writers to share their readings and for listeners to take it all in. June is a little extra special as we’ll be blending this cherished monthly Open Mic with the grand finale of our annual Battle Tales writing contest FINALE!
The evening will be split into two parts:
1st half – Some members of our local Open Mic writing community will be sharing pieces of their original work, some inspired by this month’s optional writing prompt: PRECISION.
2nd half – Our 2025 Battle Tales finalists will be reading from their submissions, with the evening ending in us announcing the 2025 Battle Tales CHAMPION!
There is no entry fee for this event and we’d love to see as many folks come out to support as possible! There’s still room for a few readers on the Open Mic portion of the evening, so make sure to email us at OPENMIC@PEIWRITERSGUILD.COM to let us know that you’d like to take part.
Haven’t read at one of our events before? No problem!!! We strongly encourage first-time readers as this is one of the most welcoming environments you can imagine to share your writing in.
