Join us for the OCTOBER EDITION of our PEIWG Open Mic on Thursday, October 23rd at The Gallery Coffee House & Bistro! This welcoming and supportive evening invites writers of all levels and genres to share their work in a casual, encouraging atmosphere.

Don’t forget, we’ve recently shifted to IN-PERSON SIGN UP for readers!
We’re introducing a new way for writers to join the readers’ list. Instead of emailing ahead, writers can now sign up the night of the event. A sign-up sheet will be available at the venue before the open mic begins, so make sure to arrive a little early to get your name on the list. We’ll also save a couple of spots for the spontaneous folks who decide to jump in once the evening is underway.

Each month, we offer a writing prompt for inspiration, so stay tuned to this page as that prompt will be shared here! All readers are also welcome to share any writing of their choice—fiction, nonfiction, poetry, spoken word, or something entirely different.

We especially encourage first-time readers! You could not find a more welcoming place to share your writing in front of a supportive crowd.

This event is FREE TO ATTEND and open to all, with priority for the readers’ list given to PEIWG members. We encourage all ages, experience levels, and writing styles to participate, as we are constantly striving to create a diverse lineup of voices for this growing event.
