The time has finally come to wield your words and duke it out in BATTLE TALES TEN!
Over one exciting week of writerly combat, you’ll be tasked with writing your best short story that includes THREE incredible prompts. Here are the prompts that you must juggle this year. Wrangling them into your story will be the key to tasting victory!

Using the form found on the button below, submit your short story of 2,500 words or less that includes all three of these prompts. Please provide your full name in the form but NOT on your piece itself. Judging should be anonymous! Submissions are due by 11:59PM on Friday, May 23rd.

Submissions will be judged on their creativity in incorporating the three mandatory prompts, as well as on the overall quality of their writing. We are also pleased to say that submissions will be judged by our wonderful guest judge (and last year’s Battle Tales champion) Monica Lacey! Our finalists will be celebrated at the FINALE event, graciously hosted and sponsored by The Gallery Coffee House & Bistro at 7:00 PM on June 26th.
