April is National Poetry Month! In honour of this, the  PEIWG will be hosting a full day poetry workshop on Saturday, April 13th, with Nova Scotia poet, Chad Norman.

Open to both members and non-members of the PEI Writers’ Guild, this expansive poetic workshop is entitled, "The Choice to See."  Norman will explore and offer insights on the importance of how to see in order to eventually write a poem. He will touch on the three important choices— glimpse, gaze, and gather—that help to lead one to the page where the poem can be brought to life. This workshop will allow anyone to compose and understand how a poem is directly connected to one of the five gracious senses.

Many thanks to the  League of Canadian Poets, who is a  co-sponsor with the PEIWG for this event. The workshop will run from 9:00am until 4:00pm. Cost is $30 for Guild members and $40 for non-members, and will take place at the Haviland Club in Charlottetown.

Are you 19 years old or younger? If so, contact peiwritersguild@gmail.com for a promo code to use during registration in order to get a special low price of $10!

See you there!
