National Writing Symposium to Take Place in Prince Edward Island this Summer

The PEI Writers’ Guild is pleased to announce a national writing symposium in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, with nationally acclaimed writing facilitators, from August 22 to 25, 2019.

This summer, the island will play host to writers and writing instructors from across the country, as they gather for the first annual Wild Threads Writing Symposium.

Hosted and sponsored by the PEI Writers’ Guild and Innovation PEI, with the support of the University of Prince Edward Island, the Bookmark, and Reading Town PEI, this four-day experience (August 22–25, 2019) includes author workshops facilitated by some of Canada’s most established writers in fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and storytelling.

Additionally, there will be panel sessions where industry professionals will speak to current and emerging publishing trends, the publishing industry in 2019–2020, and marketing and branding for authors.
